Background

About Daniel Koval

Since December 2025, I lead Research & Development at NOUS Energy, an innovative biotech startup in the nutraceutical sector. I focus on turning scientific insights into sustainable, impactful products, combining food science, biotech, and health innovation. Previously, I spent over 5 years at Mlýn Perner, leading product development in milling and bakery, with expertise in cereal chemistry, product quality, nutritional value, and innovative technologies. I represented the company at international trade fairs, organized educational seminars, and led initiatives in sustainability and ESG, including carbon footprint assessment and ESG strategy development. I enjoy tackling complex challenges strategically, collaborating with teams, and connecting science with real-world impact. Outside of work, I continuously expand my skills — most recently learning Italian.
