About Daniel McAuley

As a Digital Content Creator with the Sarnia Sting, I was able to enhance my video editing and graphic design skills to plan and produce quality content for team social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok. Working through this process reconnected me with my passion for creative work and allowed me to develop new abilities in programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro. Additionally, as a Digital Content Creator, I have had the opportunity to research and write articles to be publish on the team's website for fans to enjoy as well as gain greater insight into the world of sponsorship as I contributed to the creation of a sponsorship opportunities database by focusing on developing potential digital partnership assets. My officiating experience with both the Whitby Minor Hockey Association and Oshawa Minor Hockey Association has allowed me to advance my leadership, communication and conflict management skills in overseeing a safe playing environment. As an Official, I have learned the importance of both adaptability and professionalism. Beyond officiating, I have enjoyed volunteering with several local sport events and organizations as I feel they offer a strong opportunity to learn about the sport industry from a wide variety of lenses including event facilitation, officiating and broadcasting. In both my education and work experience, I have made it a priority to demonstrate my strong work ethic and dedication to tasks while further developing my skills and pursuing my passion in the sport industry.
