About Daniel Morrison

Born and raised in Aberdeen, I have spent most of my life in the northeast of Scotland. After nine years working in hospitality management, I decided to shift my focus toward what I’m truly passionate about—helping and working within the creative sector of the North East. I was fortunate enough to return to my studies and complete an HND in Sound Production.Working with Aberdeen Performing Arts gave me a strong foundation in technical production and the opportunity to collaborate with talented creatives from across the country. While I remain an active member of the technical team with APA, I have since taken on a new role at the University of Aberdeen as an Audio Visual Technician. This role has broadened my technical skill set significantly, giving me hands-on experience with networking fundamentals, audio over IP systems, hybrid teaching and event setups, and the full execution of professional conference environments. It has also deepened my understanding of the AV industry’s application within both educational and commercial contexts, reinforcing my commitment to delivering high-quality technical support and innovation.
