About Daniel Peyton
Dr Peyton is a paediatrician, PhD student, researcher, digital health product designer and father of three young children. As a paediatrician, Dr Peyton works at Geelong Children’s Clinic, Wathaurong Aboriginal Health service, Epworth Hospital and St John of God. For his PhD, he has co-designed and developed a new website for parents called FindWays. This website will help parents find ways of managing their child’s mental health problem while waiting to see a paediatrician. FindWays is currently being piloted in Geelong. His passion is user experience research and design using human-centred design principles. His skills include-> understanding existing quantitative evidence -> conducting and analysing qualitative research, and -> using this evidence and existing theory to design, prototype and test digital tools that are effective AND match the user's needs, within the context of their busy lives.
