About Daniel Prins

I'm a police officer in the South African Police Service stationed at the K9 Unit. I've started my career in the South African Police Service in 1992 working at the Parlement of South Africa doing duties as static protection for VIP members of the government. After this in 1996 I was transferred to Durbanville SAPS for crime prevention. In 1998 my application for the K9 unit was excepted and I was trained as a K9 handler and completed courses as a Patrol dog handler, Explosive detection dog handler and is currently serving as a Tracker dog handler. I'm also trained in the reproducing of footprints with plaster casting and with the Eletronic dustprint lifter on crime scenes, preseving them as evidence and to compile court charts to provide as evidence in the courts of South Africa. During my time in the South African Police, I studied externaly to become a pastoral counselor in order to assist my colleagues and victims of violent crimes. I also do presentations and training at schools, community centres and businesses regarding crime prevention, drug abuse and other related susjects. I have drivers licenses for light motorvehicles, all motorcycles and for extra heavy motor vehicles (code 14). I have experience of driving left hand drive vehicles as well as driving in the USA. I can transport goods, people and liquids.
