About Daniel Reid

I currently work as an Executive Assistant within Oxfordshire County Council, supporting senior leadership teams across Adult Social Care. Most of my role centres around providing day-to-day support to directors, including diary and inbox management, meeting prep, and handling high-level communications. I’ve supported over 18 directors working across the South East region as part of ADASS (Association of Directors of Adult Social Services), where I manage busy schedules, coordinate multi-agency meetings, and ensure leadership priorities are actioned effectively. The work involves regular liaison with senior council figures, partner organisations, and government stakeholders, so confidentiality, responsiveness, and clear communication are essential. Alongside this, I’ve also introduced process improvements that have helped streamline how teams work from building a diary system that boosted scheduling efficiency by 30%, to creating task-tracking tools that reduced overdue actions. Outside of my main role, I also support a small vintage bicycle business with admin and social media. It's a great way to apply my skills in a different setting while staying organised and creative. I’m always keen to build on what I’ve learned so far and explore where my experience can add value next.
