About Daniel Rice

I’m an operations professional with 3+ years of leadership experience driving efficiency, scalability, and compliance across high-growth industries. At OrthoFX, I manage end-to-end operations for an FDA-approved medical device startup—overseeing supply chain planning, vendor management, and international outsourcing in both the U.S. and China. By implementing scalable processes, SOPs, and quality controls, I’ve grown production capacity, reduced costs, and led a 25-member operations team through a successful vendor transition. Before OrthoFX, I built my foundation at Skydio, a leading AI-powered drone manufacturer, where I supported production and logistics for advanced drone technology. I assembled prototype and production drones, and developed SOPs for logistics workflows.I thrive at the intersection of manufacturing operations, supply chain strategy, and cross-functional leadership. My focus is on creating operational excellence through process optimization, vendor partnerships, and regulatory compliance—whether in healthcare, aerospace, or emerging technology sectors.
