I have worked in IT for 18 years, most recently as a Technical Team Leader taking a team of Linux SysAdmins on the exciting journey of implementing DevOps workflows and toolsets while building and supporting a high number of internal and public facing services. We successfully implemented automation, CI, Infrastructure as Code and Public Cloud hosting while battling operational fires and stepping up to the growing internal demand for ever more rapid delivery.I have a genuine passion for technology and a tenacious puzzle-solving attitude which has served me well. I enjoy architecting solutions and troubleshooting issues with a keen focus on the web but a broad enthusiasm for technology in general and the creative outlets it can give me. I consider myself both versatile and a quick learner, able to adopt new tech into my toolset and support unfamiliar services enjoying the challenge and opportunity to learn and grow.Having been in and led operational teams architecting and supporting high traffic revenue generating websites and high profile marketing campaigns I am no stranger to pressure, priding myself on an ability to think ahead, maintain focus, stay calm and quickly implement workarounds and solutions. I also find a sense of humour helps.Outside of work I am a family man with a baby and toddler who I am training to take over my long-standing other job as first line IT support to the extended family.
