About Daniel Troyetsky

My ultimate goal is simple: to contribute to the development of higher-performance space propulsion systems to make space exploration more effective, affordable, and meaningful. To this end, I am currently pursuing a PhD in Aeronautics & Astronautics at Stanford University, where I am using a combination of computational and experimental methods to develop real-time, predictive Hall thruster models. My prior experiences while obtaining a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Rochester afforded me the opportunity to build a strong foundation in both fundamental and applied engineering principles. As the Chief Engineer for the Baja SAE team, I led the initial development of the team's first-ever 4-wheel-drive vehicle. My combination of hands-on technical skills and research experience across multiple disciplines gives me a unique perspective in tackling a variety of engineering challenges.
