About Daniel Tshin

Daniel Tshin is an Digital Collaboration Specialist focusing elevating digital literacy and building adoption of knowledge and collaboration tools in the United Nations Development Programme and is based in Copenhagen. Dan brings experience in content and knowledge management as well as communications and graphics design. With 14 years of experience in the United Nations system, Daniel has architected, built, and managed web-based, knowledge management, and digital workspace systems. He has worked with a range of public and private sector clients. Before joining us, Dan consulted for UNESCO and served at a Thai NGO on behalf of Industry Canada NetCorps. Dan also has significant private sector experience, as a consultant on content management and information systems in Thailand and with firms such as Alias|Wavefront, ii3.com, and Microsoft. Today he is managing UNDP's Digital Collaboration Team that is building adoption to UNDP's corporate tools in Microsoft365 and other platforms, managing the knowledge process in IT, and advising UNDP business units to bring innovation and operational excellence on an enterprise scale. He has a background in management and computer engineering, with an MSc in Information Systems Management from Liverpool and sees concepts from his profession diffuse into his interests in coffee, cocktails, cycling and CrossFit (not necessarily in that order). UNDP works in about 170 countries and territories, helping to achieve the eradication of poverty, and the reduction of inequalities and exclusion. We help countries to develop policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities and build resilience in order to sustain development results.
