About Daniel Vattay

I believe my job as a facilitator of human development is a paradoxycal one. The sooner We reach the goals of the client, the more successful our work is. Yet this means closing a client process. It also means I become available for new clients and new processes and thus I can have more impact. Thus my main measure of success is: How quickly can I become unnecessary and so the most useful to my clients? This approach works only if results are real and meaningful. Thus I drive myself to continuously improve, learn and innovate my approach. I believe we humans develop ourselfes trough experiences we live through. I have come to discover that many of the boundaries we may tend to observe are artificial. I believe the fields of therapy, coaching and training can be enriched immensely by learning from each other. Including by learning from the highly experiential methods of improvisational training of actors that can be translated to applied improvisation training of trainers & therapists (As modelled by Jeff Zeigs Psychoaerobics methods.) Improv is a cornerstone of my approach as we improvise constantly. We only engage in scripted interactions on a stage of some sorts. Preparing for those is important, yet it's more important to learn and embody what we learn so we can address, manage and govern new and unexpected situations confidently. Such confidence comes from the trust in ojr ability to react confidently in new situations based on our learnings. To improvise effectively and adequately. Many recent developments in therapist and trainers training are based on this understanding. I aim to partake in trainings in these fields to develop myself and through that, to further the development of leaders, coaches, trainers and therapists by taking the learnings of each field and transfering them appropriately to the others. As a byproduct I combine these to help my clients in the most effective ways appropriate. And thus I become unnecessary as quickly as possible.
