I am an experienced policing leader with over 15 years of service in the British Transport Police, operating at Inspector level through multiple temporary postings and strategic roles. My career combines operational command, safeguarding expertise, and organisational leadership, underpinned by a strong commitment to inclusion and continuous improvement. I have led teams of 35+ officers and staff, managed complex incidents, and implemented governance frameworks to ensure compliance and accountability. My leadership extends beyond frontline delivery, I have authored business cases, influenced national policy, and driven organisational change. A key achievement includes developing a business case for a dedicated Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Task Force, aligning BTP with national frameworks and best practice. As operational lead for Modern Slavery and Organised Immigration Crime (MSOIC) and VAWG, I have overseen safeguarding strategies, National Referral Mechanism processes, contributed to national working groups and policy development, ensuring BTP’s approach reflects a trauma-informed, intelligence-led model. I created bespoke performance dashboards integrating live data from multiple systems, reducing outstanding named suspects by 49% for one department and improving investigation compliance above 90%.
