About Daniela Rohde

Senior HTA Analyst at the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA). I previously worked as an Analyst on the National Care Experience Programme in HIQA, where I led on the analysis and reporting of national care experience survey findings and tracking of the programme’s impact. I completed my PhD as part of the SPHeRE Programme in RCSI in 2019. My PhD explored the association between cognitive impairment and medication adherence in stroke survivors, and resulted in seven peer reviewed publications as well as several oral and poster presentations at international conferences, and three awards. Prior to commencing my PhD, I worked as a research assistant in the UCD School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems. I hold a BA in Psychology and an MSc in Applied Social Research, and have several years' experience working with homeless persons with severe and enduring mental health and addiction problems. In addition to a clinical caseload, I worked on a number of research and health promotion projects during this time. My research interests include patient experiences, stroke and cardiovascular disease, mental health, secondary prevention, evidence synthesis and quantitative methodologies.
