About Danielle Freitas

Accomplished higher education leader with nearly 20 years of progressive experience, serving as a seasoned administrator, consultant, researcher, professor, and curriculum developer in both private and public sectors in Brazil, England, the USA, and Canada. My expertise spans educational leadership, organizational growth through multilevel partnerships, innovation, program and course creation and development, language examination, curriculum design and assessment, e-learning, and adult education. With a Post-doctorate in Leadership and Organziational Strategy - Walden University, a Ph.D. in Language and Literacies Education, UofT - OISE, a Master of Arts in Second Language Education, UofT - OISE, a second Master of Arts in TESOL, UCL - IOE, as well as various certificates and a diploma in teaching and teacher education from the University of Cambridge - ESOL, I am deeply committed to advancing educational and organization excellence and student success. As a former lawyer and proud immigrant Latina woman of colour who speaks English with a Latino accent, I am a strong advocate for EDI. My diverse skill set includes exceptional interpersonal, communication, teamwork, team building, multilevel organizational development and leadership, making me a highly motivated, creative and innovative professional dedicated to enhancing educational and organizational growth practices and outcomes.
