About Danielle McLeod

I am a third-year University student at Mount Royal, I am taking a Bachelor of health and physical education with a major in Sport and Recreation Management with a minor in Marketing and business. I love working with kids and keeping them active whether it be through recreation or sports. I have learned this is a passion of mine through many years of being a camp counselor with a variety of different organizations. I want to be able to make a difference in the community because I believe recreation and sports bring people together. I see the sport in a way that is much more than a physical game it helps shape and grow individuals' minds, sense of self, and belonging that everyone should get the chance to experience. I am looking to have quality, fun volunteer experience while I am still in school so I can have adequate experience in any field I choose. I am a bright, fun, responsible, hard-working university student who is trying to get as much experience as possible. In my future career, I want to work with the Canadian Olympic team to help put on the events that are experienced during this sporting time.
