About Danielle Patterson

I'm a purpose-driven marketer whose work is fueled by curiosity, inspired by innovation, and enriched by collaboration. With a creative mindset and a knack for delivering unconventional, impactful solutions, I take a service-centered approach grounded in a deep understanding of people and their values, something that brings a unique edge to our work and team with The Anchored Group. In 2016, I returned to my Cape Breton roots to begin my own entrepreneurial journey. I co-founded Anchored Ideas Ltd, a Cape Breton-based marketing and communications agency. I'm also a non-operating partner of Devantec IT & Security, which supports clients across Atlantic Canada. In 2022, my business partner Danielle and I expanded our vision by launching Anchored Recruiting & HR Solutions. Most recently, in January 2024, we acquired City Print+, officially forming The Anchored Group. Today, our roster includes three businesses, 18 full-time employees, and an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional client service. Throughout my career, I’ve been honoured to receive several awards, including the Dale Carnegie Training for Managers’ Highest Achievement Award (2015), the Vital Cape Breton Excellence Employer Award (2016 and 2024), New Business of the Year from the Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce (2018), and the Strait Area Chamber of Commerce’s President’s Award (2019), recognizing my work in community development and marketing. I've also served on the boards of Cape Breton Transition House and Nova Scotia Business Inc.(NSBI). Above all, I’m a proud mom of twin daughters and deeply passionate about driving growth and development of Cape Breton Island. I see myself as a connector, a community builder, and an advocate for economic development, always striving to make a meaningful impact in the region I call home.
