About Danny Donnelly

With nearly a decade of experience in the security and life safety industry, my career has been built on a combination of technical expertise, leadership, and real-world field experience. Since joining Priority One Security in July 2017, I have progressed through several roles including Field Technician, Project Manager, and Sales/Estimating & System Design, gaining a full-spectrum understanding of security and life safety systems from installation to engineering and project delivery. My work today focuses on designing and estimating integrated security and life safety systems, including fire alarm, access control, and video surveillance solutions. Extensive experience in fire alarm system design, submittal package development, and permitting ensures projects meet strict regulatory and life safety standards while remaining efficient and practical for implementation. Technical qualifications include certifications in Kidde VS, VM, and Fireworks systems, along with Galaxy Access Control and Avigilon CCTV systems. Additional credentials include Registered Alarm Technician in North Carolina and South Carolina, AutoCAD certification, OSHA-10, CPR, and Boom & Scissor Lift operation. Professionally recognized for strong communication skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational ability, I thrive in environments that require coordination between technical teams, clients, and project stakeholders. Public speaking and presenting complex technical concepts come naturally, allowing clear communication between engineering, field operations, and decision-makers. Outside of my professional career, family plays a central role in my life while raising two stepchildren, ages 11 and 15. Personal development is also important to me, including a commitment to reconnecting with and further developing my Korean heritage while continuing to broaden both my personal and professional horizons. Driven by determination, reliability, and a strong work ethic, my goal is to continue advancing within the security and life safety industry while contributing to systems and solutions that protect people, property, and communities.
