Background
About Danny Kol
By successfully passing the CFA Level 1 exam, I have built a strong foundation in financial analysis, portfolio management, ethics, and investment principles. This aligns with my goal of combining my career as a pilot with the ongoing development of skills for the investment industry. In 2020, I enrolled at the Open University to pursue a Master’s degree in Management with a specialization in Financial Decision Making. This academic journey has further deepened my understanding of financial concepts and investment strategies. In February 2023, I completed my thesis, which explored the effects of ESG on the cost of debt. This data-driven research provided invaluable insights into the intersection of sustainability, finance, and corporate governance, further supporting my ambitions in the investment sector. While my role as a KLM pilot demands a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and decision-making under pressure, I have remained dedicated to broadening my knowledge in the investment world. I have actively engaged in self-study, and avidly followed industry trends and publications.
