Over thirty-five years of professional experience in developing countries, progressively rising to senior managerial and leadership roles. Masters’ Degree in Civil Engineering (Water and Environmental Management) from Loughborough University, England, working in leading and managing water, sanitation and hygiene, emergency relief, rehabilitation and development projects in rural and urban settings in Asia and Africa, with United Nations agencies, private sector and NGOs. Proven track record of successfully managing disaster relief, reconstruction and development programmes, ensuring timely and effective delivery of critical services, while developing government and other partners long term capacity. Successfully worked with donors, government ministries, private sector and other development partners to ensure planning, management and operational mechanisms were in place to respond to provide emergency WASH response in disasters. Extensive experience in policy, guideline, strategy and standards development for WASH programming for development and emergency programmes, in rural and urban contexts.ive
