About Darrell B. Jackson

Each of us has a purpose or calling; some have uncovered theirs while others are still searching. My purpose is to challenge, motivate and inspire people; to grow, develop and succeed in all aspects of life. As a Best Practice Vistage Chair, I can share the power of Vistage and coach leaders and executives that are grappling with what it means to lead well. The members of my group are comprised of peers who are growth-minded, self-aware, and lifelong learners you can trust. They come from diverse, non-competing industries who are faced with the challenge of what it means to be a difference-maker with success and failure. Members can candidly share hopes and fears, examine blind spots and open up to possibility and change. We’re not simply waterskiing, we dive deep below the surface and welcome being challenged in an atmosphere where it’s safe to feel vulnerable. I have witnessed Executives’ personal commitment returned hundredfold, but most importantly, having fun while uplifting each other to grow. As a former Vistage member, I was able to build strong relationships with customers, companies, the community, and my team during the 30 years as a banking executive. My businesses outperformed our global counterparts by more than two times during the worst financial crisis in U.S. history. Part of that success derives from the learning and growth generated as a member of a high-performing and highly functional Vistage CEO Group for nearly ten years. Being a part of the Vistage community helped me become a better leader and most importantly, a better husband, father, and person. Taking the lessons Vistage had to offer to me as a CEO, I transitioned as a Vistage Chair to give back to the Chief Executives in the Bay Area.
