About Darshan Kumar

I did my PhD research in the field of cell and molecular biology from Helsinki University with masters in Biomedical Sciences from Leiden University. I have thrown myself in various sub fields of Biotechnology ranging from virology, immunology to structural biology. Imaging biology at the light and electronmicroscopic level has been one of my passions. Drug development process for pharma and its regulation also is of high interest to me. From the time of my Master's in the Netherlands, I have familiarized myself with the entrepreneur side of science. I have developed myself on the business sphere by taking business and bio-business related courses, workshops in addition to gaining work experience. Realization of innovations and understanding commercial potential of the same is one of my core interests. Being a board member and Co-Chair of the Helsinki University supported BiotechClub (BiotechClub.fi) has boosted my interest not only in connecting companies for public-private partnerships but also for educating my peers and to learn from cooperation with multiple establishments.
