About Dave Allen

Mr. Allen has 35 years of technical and leadership experience in the field of configuration and data management (dm) and related experience and is recognized as a configuration management (cm) subject matter expert by both Industry and Department of Defense peers. Mr. Allen was awarded the TechAmerica Technical Associate Fellow in September 2011 for his leadership and technical contribution to the G-33 Committee (Configuration Management). He was also recognized for his technical competencies in his field by achieving his NDIA Professional CMDM Manager Certification in 2010. He started his career with General Dynamics, until its acquisition by Hughes Aircraft and later Raytheon Company and has held increasingly responsible leadership and technical positions. At retirement Mr. Allen held the position of CMDMDirector, with Raytheon Missile and Mechanical Directorate responsible for partnering with engineering leadership to manage the activities of over 400 employees consisting of both system and software cm engineers, configuration and data management analyst, mechanical and electrical check technical specialist and product data systems analyst required to support all RMS programs. Previously Mr. Allen held the role of EPIC’s Operations and Chief Process Engineer, focusing on mission assurance and configuration and data management processes and tools definition improvements and deployment required to effectively support RMS products. He was also responsible for establishing and approval of configuration management directives for release into the RMS Integrated Product Development System (IPDS). In addition, has served as the designated focal point for all AS9100, Mission Assurance Provisions (MAP) and CMMI compliance requirements.
