About Dave Bailey

At my core, I'm a life-long learner. I mark the day a success if I have walked away with a new wrinkle in my brain. I also love to help people, so the more I know, the better I can help a person. These two traits led me to healthcare after two B.Sc.'s (Nursing and Immunology). During my work in nursing, I learned Change Management and Six Sigma, and my eyes were opened to a world where I could help people deliver better care by making better systems and more efficient processes. I used this to help design new education modules to reach wider audiences, expand addiction treatment options in Alberta, and open new Opioid Dependency Programs. I'm very proud of my small role in developing the Virtual Opioid Dependency Program, a decentralized addiction clinic that was able to reach people across all of Alberta (we did it way before Zoom was cool too). To continue my passion for learning, I took a Masters degree in Leadership (a field where you should never stop learning). Since then, I have worked in Operations Management. I helped develop the first Addiction Recovery and Community Health (ARCH) program in Calgary. COVID hit soon after and I have led several Psychiatric nursing units and Mental Health clinics successfully through the pandemic. After all that, I'm now a proud nurse, a proud leader, and soon to be a proud father!
