About Dave Fulton

I am an engineer/technician with considerable experience maintaining and managing television broadcast equipment, IT infrastructure and staff. My skills range from component-level troubleshooting to systems design. I also have considerable audio engineering experience not only as an engineer, but as a producer and occasional touring musician. Over the past 22 years I rose through the ranks of Oregon Public Broadcasting to become Director of Engineering/IT. My career evolved as the broadcast industry transitioned from analog and proto-digital to computer/IT based broadcast technology. One of my most significant accomplishments was to fuse the broadcast engineering and IT departments, which involved the design and implementation of systems to transition OPB to desktop production and the movement of rich media to all forms of digital broadcasting (radio, and ATSC digital transmission services) as well as supervising staff through this transition. Specialties: Designing IT infrastructure and security for broadcast and media related technology and companies.
