Highly Skilled Senior Software Engineer with 18+ years of experience across multiple langues, platforms, and systems shipping boxed products on consoles and PC, and service games on PC, Mac, and Mobile platforms. Most recently working on Warcraft Rumble, working closely with both Client and Server teams to enhance our Early Player Experiences, taking ownership of our First Time User Experience system, spearheading updates to both the user's interaction with them as well as our developers and designers experiences creating new flows. Previously worked on Heroes of the Storm, starting as a UI engineer and moving through to working both Client and Server side, creating new matchmaking queues and important tools from scratch from server-side code and tooling through to client side UI. Before Blizzard I worked at Codemasters on Operation Flashpoint and the licensed Formula 1 games. On F1 I have created new User Interface additions that are still being used in currnent iterations of the game, such as the system that allows users to see predicted tyre wear patterns and fuel usages to pick their optimal strategies. On Operation Flashpoint I worked in a highly focused team of 3 to work not only on gameplay and UI features, but also to build and maintain a preventative build system, taking our CI failures from over 90% to almost 0, allowing the development team to not only add new content but to increase codebase confidence with each change. Outside of that I sing in a local choir, keep up-to-date with other video games, and am working on my own health with strength training.
