About Dave Presnell

At the beginning of 2014, an opportunity arose for me to explore new careers. After thoughtful research and careful consideration, I looked to my past for the path to a new future. Certificated Flight Instructor / Commercial Pilot Flying remains a lifelong passion of mine. A logical next step led me to turn that passion into a new career. I hired an instructor and obtained a commercial pilot and flight instructor certificates allowing me to put my twenty-plus years of flying experience to work for others. Once I completed my training, I began work at Atlas Aviation, where I had based my plane for years. Now I run their flight school. Writer Much of my time outside of work the past few years focused on writing. The prestigious Eckerd College Writers in Paradise writing conference selected me as a participant based on the strength of my manuscript in progress both times I applied. I continue to pursue this interest, and hope to have articles, short stories, and a novel published soon.
