About Dave Ursillo

Our world is desperate for leadership, and we are being summoned to fill the void. My name is Dave Ursillo, and I am a creative entrepreneur, multi-published author and lifelong writer who found his calling as a leadership coach and creative guide who helps small business owners, multi-passionate entrepreneurs and professionals express their callings into the world. In my “former life,” I was a political insider, policy nerd and aspiring Presidential speechwriter at governmental offices on State and Federal levels, including the White House Council on Environmental Quality in 2008 and for a gubernatorial candidate in 2009. Feeling disillusioned to the system — and desperate to claim my calling of serving the world and making it a better place in some way — I left my career path in 2009 to honor my calling of writing. In the 12+ years that have followed, I've built a reputable brand at my online home, DaveUrsillo.com, where I’ve published over 500 articles and essays on topics spanning personal development, self-knowledge practices, and holistic creative advice for content makers and service-minded entrepreneurs. After coaching and consulting with over 300 clients over the years, I launched Claim Your Calling in 2021, a hybrid-model coaching collective that blends 1-on-1 coaching with group coaching containers, every month, to create a suite of supports for rising change-agents, emergent thought leaders, small business owners, author-speakers, healer-teachers, coaches and therapists who are determined to claim their callings and leave a mark of loving service upon the world.
