About David Chown
Having spent 14 years in the Australian Defence Force as a Soldier/Heavy Diesel Mechanic and being posted to many locations in Australia as well as overseas deployments, I have found myself looking for new challenges in the Civilian workforce where I can broaden my knowledge in my trade and adapt my already developed skills. After life in the defence force I moved into the constuction as a Diesel Mechanic and worked on a wide variety of machinery. During this time I also started another passion of mine and enetered into firefighting. I am currently a Auxiliary Firefighter for Queensland Fire and Emergency Service QFES, and have been doing this for the last four years. Firefighting is a passion of mine and would like to follow this career path full time. For the last two years I have been working as an Emergency Response Officer for a construction company Bechtel.
