I believe that you are a reflection of the people you manage. It is important that your people know your expectations and that I express these in a way that both motivate and excites them. I have managed people for twenty four years and over those years I have learned what does and doesn't work. You must treat everyone with respect and as equals. I am always looking for ways to save money in all aspects of my job. I have found many a few examples, I started sending all of our orders that weigh less than a pound with USPS as first class mail instead of sending them with UPS. This saved us over a year. I also found that by hold all our Canadian orders and sending them once a week instead of daily and sending them as one order on a pallet we saved on both brokerage and shipping cost for a savings of over a year. I believe to always ask your employees about the best way to improve the work flow because they seem to always to know what work best because they are the ones working it everyday.
