About David Long

Being the senior member of a local authority's cemetery service involves working within a team and overseeing the daily routine and procedures of a busy service. I am involved in the maintaining of the service from administrative duties, customer services, liaising with Funeral Directors and through to guiding contractors responsible for grounds maintenance across our cemeteries and churchyards under our control. Through personal development over my numerous years in the bereavement sector, I have worked to strengthen my abilities in dealing with grieving families and providing support to them whilst retaining our service priorities. Keen to learn and support others has been my professional view throughout my career and continue to give others the support and respect that I expect in return for a successful career.
