About David McGinn

Hello! I'm Dave, a competitive sailor and cyclist with a passion for technology and innovation. After navigating the adventurous tides of outdoor leadership, I embarked on a diverse career voyage that combined my love for tech and my entrepreneurial spirit. My professional journey began in sales, where I developed key skills in communication and customer engagement. Harnessing these skills, I founded my own website development company, diving into the intricacies of the digital world. This experience ignited my passion for computer science, leading me back to college to deepen my technical expertise. Joining the tech industry, I climbed the ladder from technical support to junior software engineer, quickly proving my abilities and advancing to a full-fledged software engineer. Today, I'm proud to be part of the dynamic team at Glofox, where I specialise in back-end development using Golang. I also occasionally get my hands dirty in front-end technologies like React, TypeScript, and Redux, enjoying the best of both worlds. At Glofox, I thrive on solving complex problems, optimising back-end functionality, and contributing to our mission of revolutionising the fitness industry. My journey from the open seas to the vast landscape of technology reflects my adaptability, resilience, and continuous pursuit of growth.
