About David Rappange

I worked as Manager Research within the department of Pulmonary Diseases of the Radboud university medical center. Before that, I worked as a coordinator of the Unit for Financial Arrangements for Pharmaceuticals (Buro Financiële Arrangementen Geneesmiddelen) at the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) in the Netherlands, and as a policy advisor at the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) on issues regarding the market for long-term care and data analysis. I started my working career as a PhD student in health / behavioural economics. I studied at the Erasmus University Rotterdam where I obtained a BSc in Health Sciences, Health Policy and Management, a MSc in Health Economics, Policy and Law and a PhD in Health Economics. The main areas covered during my working career are- Clinical research/studies- Managed entry agreements pharmaceuticals- Resource allocation in healthcare- The methodology of economic evaluations of healthcare and lifestyle interventions- Healthcare data analysis- Dutch long-term care policy and regulation- Aspects of behavioural economics, including individuals' subjective expectations regarding length and future quality of life (in relation to lifestyle / healthy behaviour).
