About David Reasoner

As a lifelong golf enthusiast, I've dedicated my career to elevating the sport and empowering the next generation of golf professionals. My journey began at a young age when I traded my hockey stick for a golf club, discovering a deep passion for the game that would shape the course of my life. After graduating from Penn State's Professional Golf Management program, at the age of 22 I became the Head Professional at Ridgewood Country Club, just the fourth in the clubs storied history. This early success was the beginning of my journey, as I went on to hold various leadership roles within the PGA of America, including serving as the District Director representing the Metropolitan New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia PGA Sections. Throughout my career, I've been driven by a desire to bridge the gap between golf and business to create innovative solutions that benefit both the sport and the industry. A few of these ventures include: Honey Pond Farm, Saguaro Point, Greyson Clothier, Member Monday Tour, and Reasoner Ventures LLC. Giving back and mentoring the next generation of golf professionals is always at the forefront. I've taken great pride in my role as 18 of my assistant professionals have gone on to become Head Professionals or GM's at incredible facilities throughout the country. The game of golf and the PGA Professionals who administer it provide more charitable dollars than all other sports combined. This statistic lead me to the question: Who is taking care of the PGA Professional, who serves, organizes, and lead these fundraising events? The answer was not good enough, thus "Golf Gives" a 501c3 I started to help PGA Professionals and their families in need. We're in our third year and have donated over 300k. The PGA of America has so many great initiatives but leading the charge is PGA Hope. I am a certified PGA Hope instructor and providing free golf lessons to Veterans has been an amazing way to give back and truly help saves lives through the game of golf. As I look to the future, I'm excited to continue pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the golf industry. Whether it's leveraging my network to create new business opportunities, advocating for policy changes that better support golf professionals, or inspiring the next generation of leaders, my passion for this sport and the people will always continue forward.
