Dr. David Singini is a dynamic and results-driven public health leader with a steadfast commitment to improving healthcare outcomes in Zambia. With a distinguished career spanning over 6 years, Dr. Singini has made significant contributions to the fields of Tuberculosis (TB) control and the fight against COVID-19, demonstrating exceptional leadership, ambition, and a relentless pursuit of goals. As a Medical Officer at CIDRZ implementing the USAID TBLON, Dr. Singini's impact on TB control in Zambia has been profound. His work has not only saved lives but has also transformed the landscape of TB prevention and treatment in the country. Through innovative approaches and a focus on evidence-based interventions, he has played a pivotal role in optimizing the TB care cascade in the TBLON supported provinces, through capacity building of clinical teams, identifying key performance challenges in TB case finding, contact investigation TB prevention, formulating data-driven interventions to improve results. He remains dedicated to using digital platforms to champion continuous medical education of health workers in Zambia, through his role in implementation of the MOH project ECHO™ where he is part of the curriculum development team and a subject matter expert on Tuberculosis. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Singini's dedication to collaboration and partnership has been a driving force behind his successes. He has worked closely with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health, EPI, ZNPHI and other implementing partners to design and implement effective COVID-19 response programs. His ability to mobilize resources and foster cooperation has led to commendable contributions of the TBLON project in the vaccination campaigns, development of COVID-19 treatment guidelines, health worker capacity building activities and improving the quality of bedside care of patients infected with COVID-19. His ambition to protect the health and well-being of communities during the pandemic has been truly commendable. Dr. Singini is a versatile medical doctor, who acquired a medical degree from the University of Zambia and is known for his continuous pursuit of knowledge and skills enhancement. His career reflects a commitment to lifelong learning and a passion for staying at the forefront of public health advancements. His ambitious and goal-oriented approach continues to drive transformative change, making him a respected figure in the field of public health in Zambia.
