Ten years with Lloyd’s Register including secondment to UK Department of Energy for hook-up and commissioning of 4 oil and gas platforms in the North Sea: Shell Tern, Shell Kittiwake, Total North Alwyn B and BP South East Forties. Jumped across to the renewable energy sector as an entrepreneur 30 years ago because of climate change threat. Co-founder of the B9 Energy group of companies: development of 10 onshore wind farm sites and O&M services on 49. Also development of 2 offshore wind sites, industrial scale AD and now Energy Storage. Focussed on Power-to-X and Power-to-Gas projects to use electrolysers (green hydrogen) to provide balancing load for otherwise curtailed wind farms. Happy to be active in the gas industry again, now that it has finally become focussed on the decarbonisation imperative.
