About David Ulvr

I am currently working as a Full-Time paralegal in Dentons Prague office. While working at Dentons I have been part of the Restructuring and Insolvency Practice Group and have worked on various cases including restructuring of air carrier Smartwings, reorganization of chemical enterprise OLEO CHEMICAL or investments fund Arca Capital. I`ve been already part of Dentos for 2 years before, splitting the two Dentons stints by studying law at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. I am also working as an external Adviser to the Deputy Minister of Justice providing counsel regarding amendments mainly to the Insolvency and Execution Proceedings Act. After my one year service for the United Nations in New York in 2018, I worked as an office manager and legislative assistant in the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic focusing especially on insolvency and execution proceedings legislative. I find law (especially corporate and insolvency law) a fascinating subject, which makes me want to learn more about it and understand it as fully as possible. In my personal opinion the best and worst thing about it is, that it is constantly changing which requires never ending learning, but also provides for new challenges. In my free time I still participate in many non-formal educational projects. Most of them are organized by Young Citizens (Mladí občané) where I used to be engaged as a vice-chairman. For almost 4 years I have been participating in organization of the Czech Model of American Congress. I am also a volunteer for Czech organization Člověk v tísni, mentoring young adults from socially excluded conditions regarding their school and personal related matters. My passion are combat sports. I used to be a member of the Czech national karate team (2018-2020) participating in international competitions.
