About David Wilde

I am a former professional stage dancer with a MSc in Environment and Development, and a BSc in International Studies. Skills obtained through my professional experience and studies, such as creativity, languages, teamwork and leadership capabilities, combine with my particular knowledge of and interest in environmental problems, sustainability, sustainable development, impact assessment and environmental management strategies. Over the last years I have gained extensive experience in the preparation and execution, as well as participated in the coordination of diverse EU-funded research projects in the technology sector, with the primary focus on sustainability assessments from a life cycle perspective and circular economy. Through independent and effective LCA work in line with international standards and the latest EU guidelines I make use of professional LCA software and database tools to assess potential environmental, economic and social impacts associated with advanced materials and technologies and new production systems, with the aim of furthering eco-design and more sustainable and circular solutions. This work also involves data collection and analysis, system modelling, reporting, development of guidelines, stakeholder engagement, and the effective communication of results to project internal and external audiences.
