See website: Full Career: Trained with Westminster Press (Pearson plc) as a graduate trainee journalist in English regions, came to London from the north in 1989 as a City reporter for Thomson Regional Newspapers. Joined The Sun a year later as a city reporter then city editor, aged 27. Sent to New York as Sun's US Editor in 1993. Joined New York Post six months later and become business editor aged 30, deputy editor aged 32 and then Editor of The Sun in London at 35 - the world's biggest circulation English language daily newspaper. Left News Corporation in 2003 when Senior Vice President in Rupert Murdoch's office in New York. Attended Harvard Business School. Joined Weber Shandwick as senior vice chairman UK and Ireland in 2004 and then became a Brunswick Partner in 2006. Left Brunswick in 2015 to set up Kitchen Table Partners. Works with companies and also high level individuals and in special situations. Author of a novel for Penguin Books, The Truth About Leo, in 2010. Trustee of Action on Addiction. Patron of Nacoa, the UK's leading charity for children of addicts. Life Patron of the NSPCC. Married to Charlotte Elston. One son: Max, whose mother (Tania Farrell) died in 2006. One daughter: Louisa with Charlotte Elston.
