About Deandra Taylor

Since obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in Communication with an emphasis in Mass Media/Public Relations, my professional career has mirrored only the highest performance and quality of work. In sixteen years at WISH-TV as the Multi-Platform Photojournalist-Training & Quality Specialist, with a total of 19 years in television journalism, I have had a part in telling the story of numerous remarkable news events locally, nationally, and abroad. I have honed the ability to multitask and meet simultaneous deadlines while working in a team environment with all levels of the organization. I have shot and produced for a large number of considerable news stories along with collegiate and professional sporting events. I have been at the forefront of many investigative reports, spot news, and presidential elections. I have also covered BIG Ten and NCAA Final Four basketball tournaments, NBA and NFL regular season and playoff games including Super Bowls XLIV & XLVI. An example that highlights my experience with international travel, while managing and prioritizing large projects, was a trip to Egypt to shoot and edit an hour long documentary in collaboration with the Indianapolis Children’s Museum. Traveling to Egypt afforded me the opportunity to demonstrate my extraordinary communication and organizational skills. Due to my outstanding editorial judgment, I produced an award winning piece that has been used in classrooms state wide to promote intercultural awareness.
