About Jennifer Lyons

As a driven and forward-thinking television news executive, I’ve spent the last 13 years of my career building TV news organizations and multi-channel national and local news outlets, producing original content. Currently serving as President and General Manager of CBS 2 Chicago.Prior to CBS 2, I led the from-scratch creation of a national cable and digital news outlet, assembling a diverse team of 130 journalists committed to delivering balanced and ethical news content. In prior experiences, I oversaw the modernization of a major-market TV newsroom into a multi-platform digital news outlet, while nearly doubling the daily live television news output. During these experiences, I’ve established a proven track record of driving the long-term growth of viewership and digital traffic in key demographics. While focused on the growth in quality and output of the newsrooms I've led, I’ve kept people and culture at the center of the change-management process. I have remained equally as focused on the growth of my colleagues as journalists, storytellers and leaders.
