I am a public speaking and acting coach for both corporate executives and performing artists alike. With over 30 years experience as a Theater Arts instructor, playwright, and vocal freedom facilitator, my emphasis in recent years has been on helping executives improve their vocal delivery. My UK training as a Registered Nursing clinical instructor focused on speech, anatomy, and physiological response to stress, and my theater arts training on enlivening and releasing a passionate connection when naturally embodying words. This has culminated in an approach that focuses on individual vocal freedom whilst chanelling stress responses in order to honor authentic styles and vocal life in my clients. I work with executives and industry professionals looking to capture and keep the attention of their audiences on all platforms. I believe in the compelling power of authentic speech in all diverse voices; we all have valuable content and something to say, and how we say it is as important as the message itself. As a Senior Consultant at Strictly Speaking Group, I have blended my passion for public speaking and performance arts with coaching. I work with professionals to create compelling performances, and I help clients safely build their vocal strength and vocal variety, as well as overcome presentation challenges in order to communicate with confidence and clarity. Having a background teaching at a variety of academic and artistic institutions in performing and speech education has made me a premier speaking coach. I thrive on creating safe spaces for my clients. My much-practiced techniques foster unique styles of speech in order that presentations, speeches, or meetings are consistently delivered with verve, passion, and with a natural delivery that appears unrehearsed. I use coaching methods that include highy effective techniques to manage stress when in high stakes scenarios with the goal of achieving balance between authenticity and polished delivery.
