Background
About Deborah Goren
Music is my passion. I grew up in Northern California playing piano and cello in a house filled with music where my father, brother and I played wacky trios consisting of tuba, baritone sax and cello. Those wonderful moments, along with participating in recitals, youth orchestra, music competitions and chamber groups, laid the foundation of a lifelong love of the arts and the desire to share this love with others. I have been studying voice for the last 17 years in addition to being proficient on cello. I also have a basic understanding of piano. While working on my Certificate in Musical Performance at Notre Dame de Namur University, I began teaching music in 2nd through 5th grade classes. In addition to teaching, I enjoy signing in choir, continuing my private studies and solo performance.
