When I came across this Woodrow Wilson quotation, I felt as if it was speaking directly to me… As a training professional, I have worked in many capacities facilitating connections between people and technology. I love explaining the "why" to people to link them to a solution that can make their work [or in some cases, their lives] easier or more productive. I connect well with people at all levels of an organization and have shared topics from complex technical concepts down to simple science skills with diverse audiences using many methods - in person, remote, and through written documentation. My ongoing pursuit is of opportunities to use knowledge and the sharing of it to improve the situations of those I encounter – through training, public speaking, or personal connection. Most positions I’ve held have involved a combination of training/teaching and relationship management – from technical software instruction to detailed customer service, both in person and via phone. Going forward, I intend to find opportunities to share the information I have or am given to make each day easier or better in some way for those in my path while contributing positively to the culture around me.
