About Deepa Lad

Walsall Council leverages my expertise in behavioural science and public health to design and evaluate interventions that address health inequalities and improve community well-being. With over four years of combined experience in public health and psychology, my work focuses on applying behavioural insights to tackle complex social determinants such as housing, air quality, and the cost of living crisis. At Newham Council, I contributed to impactful public health initiatives, developing and evaluating community-based programs that addressed pressing health disparities in one of London’s most deprived areas. My mission is to bridge the gap between behavioural science and public health, fostering sustainable change through evidence-based strategies and equitable solutions.
