About Deitze Otaduy

European projects Manager at DeustoTech (University of Deusto). I have worked in the design and development of optical sensor devices for different application sectors such as biomedical, industrial and food. In the last years I have combined it with the coordination of regional, national or European proposals and projects, mainly in the photonics and agri-food sector. Within my work tasks at DeustoTech, I detect collaboration opportunities with different companies or technology centers for mainly European projects, I participate in the formation of consortia, support in the conception of the project and proposal drafting and later on, I am in charge of project management I enjoy networking because it involves meeting new people, learning from their experiences and knowledge, and visiting new countries. I find it exciting to soak up new cultures and meet different people. In constant training and awareness of gender inequality in STEM careers and professions, I collaborate with the Inspira STEAM project as a mentor for the promotion of scientific-technological vocations among girls and boys in primary school.
