About Denise McLean

Denise McLean is a senior leader with a broad range of experience in human resource management practices, strategic labour force issues, diversity and inclusiveness, leadership development, career development, succession management, HR strategy and organizational change. Denise manages a successful consulting practice and is active in a network of like-minded professionals who collaborate on client projects. She is currently the Director of the Diversity and Inclusion practice at Graybridge Malkam, a leading firm that specializes in workplace diversity and inclusion. Consulting with a variety of Canadian organizations and economic sectors, Denise designs and delivers research for decision makers, pragmatic HR strategies and tools, and organizational development interventions to ensure organizations have the human capabilities to support their business strategies. Denise brings to her consulting practice more than thirty years of senior experience in personnel psychology and human resource management. Prior to initiating her consulting practice in 2005, Denise’s career included the London Board of Education, a publisher of psychological assessment instruments, the federal Public Service Commission, Canadian National Railway, the Conference Board of Canada and the Niagara Institute. Denise is known for her ability to develop leadership and human resource approaches that support an organization’s strategic directions. Her recent clients are drawn from various sectors in the Canadian economy and include public, private and non-profit sector organizations. Denise holds a PhD in Psychology, with a specialization in measurement, assessment instruments and educational psychology. Denise is the author of several publications, has been a frequent conference speaker and is functionally bilingual.
