A Sports and Entertainment industry veteran with over 20 years of experience, Derek Dowling brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to a high volume fast paced environment. Serving as the Assistant Director of Operations and the Director of Concessions for one of Levy Restaurants premier properties, Churchill Downs; Derek has spearheaded an operation that generates upwards of 20 million dollars and serves approximately 1 million people a year. His passion and dedication for food and beverage excellence and customer service has elevated Levy Restaurants to what is now the standard in all Sports and Entertainment. Derek’s career achievements have led him to become a highly respected and sought-after foodservice professional. Planning and executing some of the biggest and most recognized events in the world such as the Kentucky Derby, Super Bowl, Olympics and Ryder Cup have given him the knowledge and skill set to be successful in whatever opportunities may arise. In addition to coordinating large events, Derek has taken on many other additional duties; New Business operational plans, Operational Review’s for existing properties and creating guidelines and procedures for day to day operations.
