About Derek Spicer
Website: My first novel, the space fantasy adventure The Tales of Havera: Orb of Emancipation, will be published January 1st, 2023. It's available for pre-order online wherever books are sold such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Currently a cinematics designer at Red Storm Entertainment. I also have experience as a Game QA Tester at Red Storm and Epic Games. I'm interested in narrative design, writing, and level/world design. I'm currently writing a low fantasy space novel series. I've already completed two novellas that take place in the same universe, and the first full novel in the main series is almost done with about words. I have an Associates Degree in Simulation and Game Development at Wake Tech. I've had training in Maya, UE4, Unity, Substance Painter, and Photoshop. From my previous career, I have experience in development research and data management after achieving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from NC State University.
