The Toronto South Detention Centre enables I as an officers to think in high tense situation, defuse problems and stop altercations from occurring, while continuously displaying professionalism and a positive atmosphere to ensure the greatest potential of rehabilitating offenders back into society. • Certified to work with adult offenders, in accordance to regulatory procedures to further ensure the safety of inmates, staff, and other stakeholders; Inspection, examination and verification of inmates is conducted, when non-compliance is suspected or encountered. • Supervise individuals who are serving time in prison or awaiting trial; the everyday environment carries a high risk of injury through maintaining the order and control among inmates, enforcing rules, and disciplining individuals. •Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), along with exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
