As a Training Magazine Emerging Leaders Award winner and the Training Content Development Manager of a 2022 Training Magazine Apex Award winning team, Devon believes that the most important part of an Adult Educator's role is to foster the learner’s confidence in their own ability to succeed within the organization. After studying Adult Learning and Technical Writing at SUNY Buffalo, Devon has spent over a decade working in Learning Development. She has an intrinsic passion for creating training programs that go beyond delivering industry specific content by stoking the learner's natural drive for professional development. Throughout her career, Devon has mastered the skills of both traditional and e-learning facilitation techniques and uses expert instructional design theory to develop creative and innovative general and individualized training programs. She has an established track record of translating client and compliance requirements into robust holistic learning programs. As a Scrum Master and Learning Program Manager, she also has extensive experience allocating training resources, forging solid professional relationships through effective communication and leadership skills and effectively driving program analyses and modifications to better meet learners' needs. She believes that it is vital to stay on the cutting edge of this dynamic industry and regularly takes part in professional development courses and seminars to ensure a comprehensive knowledge of the most current training trends, technology and advancements.
